The graph demonstrates the percentage of pupils learning how to play four various music instruments namely guitar, piano, drum and violin over a ten-year period from 2005 to 2015.

Overall, the proportions of all musical instruments except violin with the lowest percentage adhered to the rising trends. The figure of guitar was the highest and rose significantly in 10 year period. It also was true for piano. Moreover, the figures of drum and violin did not saw significant change.

Looking at the details, at the start the percentage of guitar was around 11, then it soared to 20 percent in 2010. In 2025, this percentage increased dramatically to 28 making the figure with the highest percentage. In addition, the percentage of piano was 10 in 2005, after that it went up to 17 percent between five years. In 2015, it doubled to 25 percent. The percentage of students learning drum was 6 at the start and only increased in 2015 to 7 percent.

Violin was the least popular instrument played by school children. In 2005, percentage of this instrument was 8 and levelled off until 2010. Then unfortunately, the figure decreased to 7 percent making itself with the lowest percentage.
