The map demonstrates the development of Stokeford village from 1930 to the present.
Overall, the village is mainly surrounded by a river on its western side, which also runs through the village, dividing it into two parts. In the northern section, it flows under a bridge. Over time, the village underwent major reconstruction, including the addition of new houses and the complete clearing of farmland.
On the northwest side of the map, there were five houses, two shops, and a post office in 1986; however, the shops were replaced by new houses, and new branches of the river have been created over the period, while the post office remained untouched. At that time, the southwest side of the village was completely developed from farmland, with houses erected along the riverbank.
The new houses and new branches of the river have also been created on the northeast side of the hamlet. The primary school building, which was located to the left of the newly constructed homes, has been enlarged. The garden and large house next to the primary school have been totally reconstructed into new housing units and a retirement home. With these developments, only two trees remained untouched.
