Band 5+: The first chart shows the percentage of women and men in a country involved in some kinds of home tasks (cooking, cleaning, pet caring and repairing the house). The second chart shows the amount of time each gender spent on each task per day. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparison where relevant.

The first chart shows the percentage of both genders who do the housework, while the second chart shows the amount of time spent by both genders.

Overall, it is clear that the most done work is cooking that is done by females. But the least one is house repairs. The time that is mostly spent is cooking which was also by females. And least one was same, is spent for house repairs.

Let’s look at the first graph. Cooking by men is 60%, but for women it is just over four-fifth. For cleaning by males is 40%, for females it is quite more than 60%. Pet care is mostly done by men, slightly more than one-fifth, for women it is one-fith. For house repairs by men is around 17 % but for females, it is quite less than 10%.

Let’s look at the second chart. Men spend 1 hour for cooking while women spend around 85 minutes. For cleaning males spend approximately 45 minutes, when females spend almost 70 minutes. Men spend one third of an hour for pet caring, women spend same as men. Males spend almost 20 minutes while women spends abouut 5 minutes.
