The two maps illustrate how an art gallery has changed since 2005. Overall, the art gallery has experienced significant alterations, the most prominent of which are additional temporary exhibitions, a gallery shop, vending machines, and an interactive children’s area. Further changes have also been made to its stairs to the upper floor and entrance.
In 2005, the art gallery had a cafe, shop ,and gallery office in the north-west section of the gallery. There were three exhibition rooms in the east side. A fourth exhibition room hosted the west side of the gallery. There were stairs to the upper floor. Furthermore, reception desk and Entrance hall were located to the south of it.
At present, the three exhibition rooms remain intact while the fourth made way for the interactive children’s area. The reception desk and Entrance hall switched their position, former being on the southern side of the layout. Cafe and shop are converted into Gallery shop and there are added some vending machines to the south of it. The area of fourth exhibition room, current children’s area, was shrunk slightly. As a result, it allowed temporary exhibitions to expand. A lift was also added to the stairs to the upper floor. Finally, a ramp for wheelchairs was added near the steps.
