The pie charts provide information about proportion of variuos reasons why students chose to study in the UK in 1987 and 2007.
Overall, it can be observed that majority of students studied in the UK as it offered suitable degree courses in both given years. However, social activities and sports were less liked reason.
Around one third of students came to British universities in the pirsuit of gaining suitable degree and it was the most popular figure over a 20-year period. Next, the quality of recourses was 21% in the beginning, and there was a negligble fall making up 17 % in 2007. Proportion of sports and activities which were another reason why students came to the UK university had significantly decreased from 19% to 6%.
The reverse was true for close to parental home, which rose by 12% and made up 22% in 2007. Similarly, the figure for quality of teaching increased from 15% to 18% between 1987 and 2007.
