In this day and age, it is popular perception that wild animals can not be put into good use any longer and making effort to conserve them wastes a fortune. While some people hold this belief, I will challenge this thinking in this essay.
There are certain reasons lying behind why I oppose this notion. In terms of whether undomesticated species are in good use in the present day, it is common knowledge that humans can still take advantage of them, especially for medical purposes. As biological science has proven, their bodies may have some parts that can work wonders for human health, even might be used to cure some categories of disease that products of pharmaceutical chemistry are not able to do. Thanks to this feature, the bodies of wild species may become one of the most sought-after kinds of medicinal items, which really benefits pharmacies’ income and the economy in general.
It is also my supposition that efforts to protect animals from extinction is worth investing in this period. In the past, since many invaluable genres of animals still existed, my claim seemingly makes no sense;however, in contemporary times, a plethora of wild species have disappeared due to the rapid urbanization and the increasing human’s material demand, putting biodiversity at a risk. That leads to the caution that we really need to take heed of the safety of animals and compensate that loss by not only taking action but also spending a suitable amount of money that is likely to meet with all the demand of setting up a perfect animal protection system.
To conclude, for the reasons elaborated above, although believers opine that we can not make use of wild animals, which is not financially worthy of being protected, I am against this idea on account of their pharmaceutical benefit in our health and the fact that their high risk of becoming extinct could play a role in biodiversity collapse.
