In more detail, Australia witnessed the highest percentage of male employees working in the 30-50 hour group, at 44%. Working from 60 to 80 hours per week was also popular among men, accounting for 30%. The figures for the remaining shorter and longer working-hour categories varied between 5% and 13%. Meanwhile, the percentage of male workers working over 80 hours per week was 10%, which was similar to that of women.
In the same timeframe, 35% of female employees were in the 30-50 hour group, this being the highest percentage of women. Additionally, a significant number of women were seen to prefer working less than 20 hours, which was relatively twice as high as the figure for men. This trend was reversed in the 60-80 hour group.
