Many people argue that it is beneficial for young individuals who have just completed high school to work for a few years before pursuing their university education. While there are advantages to this approach, I believe that the disadvantages outweigh the benefits in several ways.
Working before attending university can provide valuable opportunities for students. For instance, those from low-income backgrounds who struggle to afford tuition fees can earn money through employment, alleviating their concerns about educational expenses. Additionally, gaining work experience in advance is often more effective than what can be obtained through job applications alone. Through work, students can also learn how to interact with others and improve their communication skills. Moreover, they become more aware of social dynamics and lifestyles.
Alternatively, there are also downsides to working after high school such as being a part in an unpleasant workplace where it can be humble jobs. As for job selection, there seems to have a limit to choose the best. Even salaries can be quite low due to lacking either degree or enough talents compared to graduates. Moreover, a student who immerses himself only in career rather than education for the time being or one getting paid with competitive earnings does not have the intention of being graduated as he has been in the comfort zone and does not have guts for facing challenges.
Overall, I assume that taking a job without a proper degree is not a wise choice to do so though there might be some youngsters with difficulties in finances or different mindsets, agreeing the opposite.
