Overall, there were general increases in all categories throughout the given period. However, New Brunswick and British Columbia showed the most significant rises, while other categories saw moderate increases.
In 2001, the total number of international graduates in New Brunswick and British Columbia each accounted for around 8% and about 3%, respectively. In New Brunswick, the trend soared to approximately 13% in 2006. The British Columbia category skyrocketed to just over 10% in 2006. Graduates in Nova Scotia grew significantly from about 7% to around 11% between 2001 and 2006.
The figures for graduates from Quebec jumped sharply from approximately 6% to about 8% in both years. The proportion of graduates from Alberta increased quickly from about 4% to around 7% over a five-year period. Those graduating from Mantioba, Newfoundland, Labrador, and Ontario all accounted for approximately 3% in 2001. In 2006, there were increases to about 6% in these three provinces.
