In 2001, the total number of international graduates in New Brunswick and British Columbia each accounted for around 8% and about 3%, respectively. In New Brunswick, the trend soared to approximately 13% in 2006. The British Columbia category skyrocketed to just over 10% in 2006. Graduates in Nova Scotia grew significantly from about 7% to around 11% between 2001 and 2006.

The figures for graduates from Quebec jumped sharply from approximately 6% to about 8% in both years. The proportion of graduates from Alberta increased quickly from about 4% to around 7% over a five-year period.
