The given pie chart illustrates information about percentage of spending habits of individuals of UK from 1971 to 2001.

Overall, food was the highest category of spending in 1971; however, computers were least during the same year, while car had the highest percentage of spending in 2001.

In 1971, the amount of spent on food was 44%, which were decreased 30% in 2001. Similarly, Books fell down from 6% in 1971 to 1% in 2001, and petrol from 10% in 1971 to 8% in 2001. Furthermore, furniture remained stable at just below one-tenth percentage.

On the other hand, amount spent on computers were increased 6 times, which was only 2% in 1971. Moreover, spending on restaurant rose from 7% to 14% over the period. In addition, spending on cars was 22% in 1971, which went nearly doubled in 2001.
