Nowadays, more and more countries have the same brands, buildings, clothes, and movies, and this trend is leading to less evident differences between countries. Despite the positive aspects, such as an economic boost to brands and companies, I believe the drawbacks in terms of a decline in tourism and loss of tradition and culture are more significant.
On the one hand, the main benefit of becoming a country with fewer differences from other countries is an economic boost to popular brands and companies. Since individuals use the same services, wear the same brand of clothes, or similar buildings, the demand for such brands and companies increases. This, in turn, can lead to economic growth in those economies. As a result, such brands and companies can spread their name across the world and manufacture many products. For example, Famous brands, Nike, adidas, or skyscrapers are notably recognized all over the world, and are still improving their economic conditions.
On the other hand, despite the positives above, the disadvantages are more significant. The first drawback is a decline in tourism. When countries have the same services, similar buildings, or clothes, they can attract people to their country. Consequently, it leads to a decrease in the number of arrivals and countries become less popular. For instance, in Central Asia, the majority of countries have the same brands, buildings, and services, thereby in these countries have few foreign visitors. Another significant drawback is the loss of tradition and culture. With countries having the same services, doing similar activities, and brands, it leads to a loss of their tradition and cultures. As a consequence, they lost their culture and tradition, and nothing will separate them from other countries. For example, China and Korea have almost the same infrastructure and brands. Additionally, their culture and tradition are also almost the same, because of the brands, clothes, buildings, and companies.
In conclusion, while there are some advantages, I firmly believe that the loss of tradition and culture, and the decrease in tourism are more notable.
