Band 6: The maps show Southside, a shopping mall, as it is now, and plans for its development. (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The maps provide information about the development of shopping mall.

Overall, substantial modification can be observed particularly in the building and around it.

A major reconstruction is planned, including the removal of the entertainment centre and addition of more boutiques. Only restroom and supermarket will remain unchanged. The play area will be replaced by a beauty salon while the noodle shop will be turned into a shoe store. The cinema will be removed and in its place several small shops will appear, such as cosmetic store gift shop and a second shoe store. The small department store will be replaced by three fashion stores.

Looking at the yard plan, we see that there are sport halls, golf courses and park. However, this area will be redeveloped to make it more visitor-friendly, with the sports halls removed and the car park expanded. A similar change will take place on the eastern side, where the department store will be expanded and a second entrance added. Compared with the current layout, significant changes can be observed to the new building
