The maps compare the layout of Southside shopping mall as it is now with its future design.
Overall, the mall will undergo substantial redevelopment, with the enlargement of the mall itself and the expansion or replacement of several facilities. Meanwhile, the original entrance will be preserved in the future.
In terms of developments, the department store, which is once located inside the main building, will be moved and constructed to the east of the mall, replacing a golf course and a park. It will be attached to the main construction and provide its own entrance in the southwest. In the south of the mall, the car park will notably be extended to the eastern area, taking the place of a fitness centre.
Regarding modifications, the cafe just immediately in front of the former entrance will be transformed into the information centre. In the northern sites, where a play area, a noodle shop, and cinemas used to be, will be converted into different structures such as shoe stores, a cosmetics store, a beauty salon, and a gift shop. Additionally, fashion stores will be built in south-eastern site. By contrast, the supermarket and restroom nearby the entrance is planned to be retained.
