Medical care is a service that is paid in a large number of countries, however is defended that this service has to be provided by the administration.
It’s my opinion that a free medical care has to be offered in everyone, despite their economical situation.
First and most important, access to healthcare is a basic human right. By giving this free service, the governments avoid the differences between the rich and poor, and lead the construction of a more equal society. It’s just unfair that only rich people can have an acces to the best doctors and treatments. For exemple, cancer’s disease is known for the high costs of the treatment, so if some people cannot access because of their economical situation, it leaves the most part of the population without the chance to get better and have a whole life to live.
Secondly, a free acces to the hospital benefits the health population of the country as a whole and, furthermore, the prevention of many diseases reduces the costs of the treatments. It is because a lot of diseases can be detected by tests, like blod tests, ecographies or radiographies. For example, in Spain, over 50 years old population recives every year a letter to do a simple test at home, they have to get the test in the pharmacy, and after some weeks when they return it, they recive the result at home.
In conlusion, access to a free medical care is essential to have a health and equal society, and give the opportunity to everyone to live a longer life even though their economical situation. In my opinion, a free healthcare has to be in the top of the list in the governments, as it’s a human right.
