The maps illustrate the changes that took place in the seaside resort of Templeton between 2000 and 2013.
Overall, it is clear that the area underwent significant development, with the addition of new facilities such as a supermarket, a factory and a ferry service. Meanwhile, most of the original features, including the school, hospital and housing areas, remained unchanged.
In 2000, the town contained a school, a hospital and several houses in the northern part, near a lake. A block of flats was located in the southwest, and a railway station could be found in the southeast. There was also an open green area with trees in the middle of the map, as well as a car park next to the hospital.
By 2013, a supermarket had been constructed to the west of the block of flats, and a factory was built in the central part of the town, replacing the green area. A ferry terminal was also added by the sea, next to the railway station. Despite these changes, the school, hospital, houses, bridges and car park remained the same as in 2000.
