The bar graph compares the percentage of using Internet in four different age groups in Taiwan between 1998 and 2000.
Overall, there were decrease in the proportion of Intenet users in all age brackets, apart from those aged less than 15 and over 50. Notably, the age groups of 16-30 by far was consistently the highest figure, followed by that of 31-50 throughout the period
Regarding age groups with substantial figures: in 1998, approximately 53% of people aged 16-30 used Internet, which was about 13% more than those aged 31-50’s 40%. Over the period of two years, the usage of both age brackets saw a steady decline, settling at their lowest point of around 45% for the former and 38% for the latter in the final year.
Turning to the remaining age groups: at the beginning of the period, users aged over 50 started at around 4%, which doubled the figure for the less than 15 age group. Subsequently, the data for the former and the latter rose marginally, reaching 10% and 9% respectively in 2000, before which it was equal at about 8% in 1999.
