People argue that animal testing should be banned due to its cruel impact on the animals involved. However, some people also think that it must be done to protect our safety and prevent unwanted disasters from happening. For the advancement of medicine and to ensure the product is safe, many people think that animal testing is a necessary precaution to prevent unwanted incidents. Without animal experimentation, we would not have made it this far in both the cosmetics and scientific fields. Testing harsh chemicals on humans is bound to produce negative side effects, this will result in complaints and even lawsuits to either the laboratories or makeup company. Therefore, this practice has been done since decades ago to produce the best results thus making it 100 percent safe for humans to consume and use. However, as the world advanced to its state now, animal testing is no longer required as there are many alternatives for researchers to experiment on. The method of animal experimentation is cruel as the animals go through slow but excruciating pain. Some of their body parts rot and become unusable, thus painstakingly making the animal incapable of movement and eventually death. Many cosmetic companies and scientific laboratories have agreed with this sentiment and have banned the use of animal testing due to its harmful and deadly effects. Not buying products from companies that do animal testing will help us in protecting the animals. In conclusion, although animal testing can ensure our safety in medicine and makeup whilst advancing the field to further heights, there are also many friendly alternative ways of testing our products.
