In modern days, the number of people who move from their hometowns to other regions or cities have risen sharply. This essay will demonstrate how living in other places can be beneficial for adults with such trends as worldview broadening, learning a new language and also illustrating the drawbacks of this development like decreased number of residents in the hometown and personal challenges. Whilst acknowleging that there are disadvantages of this development, in my opinion, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
Firstly, the people who move from their hometowns have diversity of goals in doing so. And one of them is, working outside the country and gaining new benefits. Those new benefits can be broadening the worldview, which means interacting with many people with many cultural backgrounds, and also learning a new language can have its own positive sides. For instance, when a person meets the other person who speaks in different language and also behaves differently, this causes the feeling of interest. Interested in interacting with that person forces him to know about his cluture, and all these procedures will have an effect in eventual personal development. Moreover, a new language makes a person to behave like the natives of that language. For example, while living in Turkey we must learn Turkish language, and perceiving Turkish language affects our behavior and world perception. In short, we will be like the natives.
Secondly, the disadvantage is, the hometown may have some economical problems if many residents move to other regions. That is because the town needs its people to live and reach the prosperity. In addition, that certain person may face some problems in the new region. It can be the issues such as, difficulties of learning new language, interaction with other unknown people and living in different culture. This may cause a sense of loneliness and a person may have a homesick.
In conclusion, even though there are many drawbacks of moving to another town, there are more advantages of living outside the hometown. Hence, I believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
