The death penalty and life in prison for murderers has become an integral part of the rising debate in the present world. While proponents of the argument are in favor, however, the opponents are completely against the relevance of the death penalty and lifetime in prison’s. In my opinion, life in prison is a better punishment for murderers as compared to the death penalty and has more positive impacts than negatives around the globe.
To commence with, there are a number of arguments in favor of my belief. The most prominent one is that the death penalty is one time time punishment for murderer because their life ends up in minutes while when life in prison is the punishment that never ends. In this prison life the murderer missed each and every moment of life which they wasted by killing someone. According to the research conducted by Western Sydney University, people who do murder of anyone have psychological issues and they have never guilt upon this because they know after this their life end but lifetime punishment always remind them their crime.
Secondly, life time punishment for murderer. On the other hand, critics may point out that one of the most significant disadvantages of the lifetime punishment is that if they have some serious psychological issue which are not treated properly in prison have risk for other prisoners in prison . For instance, a survey conducted in the United States reveals that some psychological issues urges the people to do murders for their mentally satisfaction, that is very serious problem,
To conclude, even when there are a lot of demerits associated with the death penalty and life in prison, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and their best decision has become a crucial part of our life.
