Band 4+: In a number of countries, some people think it is necessary to spend large sums of money on constructing new railway lines for very fast trains between cities. Others believe the money should be spent on improving existing public transport.Discuss both views

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

There is an ongoing debate regarding whether public trance is the most important thing for humankind. A group of individuals opined that there is a need to spend a chunk of money on building new subways for very fast trains between urban centers. However, others claim that the currency should be spent on improving public transport. Therefore, ahead of my notion, both views will be discussed further.

On the one hand, a number of people think that the government should spend more money on building new railway lines. To explain it, nowadays a plethora of citizens use trains because the subway is more comfortable for traveling from one city to another. It produces less pollution as compared to other public transport. For instance, nowadays, so many nations provide metro subways for their native people, such as the U.K., U.S.A., Japan, India, and many more. In the U.K., there is a long railway line, and with the fast train, people can travel from London to Edinburgh in only 3 hours.

On the other hand, to improve existing public transport, it should be the main purpose because public transportation is most important to reducing air pollution. In other words, if the public starts to travel on public transport, the environment will be in better condition. For example, recent surveys show that countries that develop much public transport between cities have great air quality, such as Denmark and Sweden.

Every coin has two sides, but in my opinion, the government should spend money on improving existing public transport.

In conclusion, while building a new railway line is important to travel easily, I believe that improving public transportation should be the primary way to save the environment from pollution in carbon-free cities.
