Band 5+: It is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? What sort of punishment should parents and teachers be allowed to use to teach good behaviour to children?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Everything has a good side and a bad side, but children do not know how to differentiate between right and wrong. As such the task has fallen upon the parents and teachers to teach them the difference between positive and negative decisions. I think we do not need to punish childrens to teach this considering that if we punish them, there will be nergative effects that will befall on to the child.

Parents and teachers are the only one who can teach a child about good and bad at an early age, to do so some say that punishment is necessary but it is not agreeable beacuse some times it leaves the child scarred for life for example if a parent or teacher punishes a child by hitting them for doing some thing bad then that child will always be afraid to do something even if the thing is god. The reason behind that is before punishing we did not teach the child that it is bad and what will be the conciquence of it for that a child fears to do something because they think the next time they do something they will be punished .

Without punishing them we can show them why doing so is bad and also show them that what the conciquence might be. These will not only help them underdstand but also give them a good impression of what an ideal adult will be like.

It is widely believed that it is essential to teach children the difference between right and wrong in modern society. It is widely accepted that children need to learn the difference between right and wrong from an early age to develop moral values. Recognition between right and wrong is a vital ethical issue that adults should teach their kids about.1 I think that I partially agree with the statement, however punishment is a good way to express how the behavior was impolite. Aggressive reactions are not solving problems, therefore they worsen the situation.2 Firstly, penalty upon bad attitude […]

I totally believe that all parents should control their children and take responsibility about their behaviour. You gather attitudes and habits from your nearest members of family, after that you accomplish an age when you become an independent person. If parents skip time of teaching own kids how to behave, children won’t grow up as […]

Often, today’s college students have to focus on study subjects that are related to their future jobs. Others argue that they should be free to choose subjects they are interested in. Some people believe the only (sole) purpose of movies is to entertain. Others say films should have educational value.

While some people consider films simply a source of entertainment, others suggest that films should be educational. Personally, I believe that films can be either, or both, entertaining and educational; however, it is up to each individual to choose what films they like to watch and for what reasons they watch them. These days, films […]

In today's digital era, individuals are increasingly sharing vast amounts of personal information on online platforms. Some people argue that sharing personal data enhances convenience and allows companies to provide more personalized services. Others contend that it poses serious threats to privacy and personal security. Another line of thought suggests that sharing personal data is unavoidable in modern society, and the key issue is how governments and companies manage and protect this data. Which view(s) do you agree with? Give specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Online platforms – namely TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, or Shoppee – have become a virtually indispensable part of our everyday life, enabling unprecedented accessibility and convenience. However, these platforms have exposed us to significant risks regarding security and privacy due to the increasing amount of data shared online. In my opinion, although sharing data in cyberspace […]

Some people think that employers should focus on the personal qualities of potential job seekers instead their academic qualifications and experience. To what extent do you agree with this opinion?

Some people believe that employers should give more importance to the personal qualities of job applicants than to their academic qualifications and work experience. I disagree with this view because qualifications are essential for good job performance, and ignoring them can be unfair to experienced candidates. First of all, academic qualifications provide people with the […]

In the period of rapid technological advancements, the question of whether the development of AI and computers poses a danger to human-beings has sparked fierce public discourse. Admittedly, there are compelling arguments on both sides, however my stance leans toward that the positive consequences of this improvement would outweigh its expected threats.
