In my opinion, I strongly believe living in the twenty-first century has more benefits than living in previous centuries. This essay will discus the advantages and disadvantages of living in this century.
In the current century, people have more freedom compared to centuries before. While, for example, only male inhabitants were allowed to vote or to work in the past, these rules changed in the following eras in almost every country worldwide. Also in more countries younger children are going to school. In the past education was not approachable for everyone. However, regulations of authorities made it easier for the poverty society to educate themselves. Moreover, the possibilities of traveling also increased throughout the years. For instance, in the past, residents within the European Union needed a Visa to travel through Europe. Nowadays the EU allowed free travel possibilities for inhabitants of the Schengen countries or people that got a permission to visit these countries.
Furthermore, these days possibilities with technology are developing significantly. While people in the 20th century actually need to visit someone to invite them or to ask a question, nowadays people can call each other by their mobile phone in a minute. An other advantage of the current innovations are cars. The producing of driving vehicles are becoming more and more affordable for everyone, however, in the past cars were only approachable for extremely rich individuals.
In conclusion, although the possibilities depends on the regulations of the government of your current living area, I believe living in the 21st century has definitely more benefits than living in previous centuries.
