Band 6+: Nowadays most green energy is becoming evermore prevalent in both developed and developing countries. Some argue they greatly reduce costs and are better for the environment, others believe they are a serious threat to energy security. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Choice of green energy is increasing rapidly among developed and developing nations. To this, some believe it to be serious issue as it does not promise uninterrupted energy supply as it is dependent on green resource. However, I stand on the other side who believe it otherwise and look green energy as most affordable and pollution free electricity source.

In absence of any of the green resources, energy supply cannot be promised. There are days in rainy season where sun is not seen in the sky, days like these make it difficult to generate power in the solar power station, and same is the case in wind station in absence of adequate wind. Situations like these will create power interruption in the areas which are dependent on these power stations. For instance, an area will have to suffer with complete black out during snow season if that area is only dependent on solar power station.

However, green resources are counted as the pollution free and most affordable source of energy. Since, non-renewable resources are already vanishing from our earth, we are compelled to rely on green energy. I share the similar opinion, and believe green energy is the future as sources are renewable in nature. Most of the nations are building power plant based on the availability of these resources. For instance, desert areas are preferred for wind station, and areas near river or lakes are preferred for hydro station.

To conclude, green energy is not a source of uninterrupted energy. But looking at our non-renewable resources reserves and current climate condition, green energy are best. In my opinion, the advantages such as clean energy and renewable nature of this energy, green energy is preferable energy.
