Progressive society has had a demonstrable effect on transportation. While some people argue that the government should develop railways rather than roads, I strongly believe that these developments should be done equally.
In terms of roads, one of the primary reasons for distributing the budget here is that roads have more potential. Almost everyone indeed has a car or a motorcycle, which means they can use the road. Furthermore, on the road, they will have a combination of private and public transport, which is very useful-kill two birds with one stone. However, too many automobiles on the roads can lead to traffic congestion; For example, in Bangkok, Thailand, it is obvious that Bangkok is one of the most traffic-congested cities in the world. This is due to the lack of awareness during urban planning and the excessive number of automobiles on the roads.
On the other hand, railways can reduce traffic problems, because railways are easy to manage. The operator can control the way that the trains go, causing flawless traffic. Another benefit of the railways is that they can reduce the commute time. No traffic jams generally mean no bumper-to-bumper situation; however, this is due to the effectiveness of the route map. Nevertheless, trains can be very crowded during the rush hour, like in Japan I used to go to before, and it was very ridiculous, a lot of people are trying to get in. You do not need to believe me, try it by yourself. Another drawback is that there is only a public train on the railways; hence, if you want privacy, this will not be your way.
In brief, whether expanding railways or roads, it comes with benefits and drawbacks. In my opinion, among these varieties, the government should invest in the railways and roads equally to encourage urban equilibrium.
