Some people think that paying taxes is the only duty they have for the society, while others believe that people should do more to help. This essay will look at both points of view and give my own opinion.
On the one hand, there are people who say that paying taxes is already enough. The main reason is that governments use taxes to pay for many important things. For example, the money goes to schools, hospitals, police, and building roads. Without taxes, most people could not use these services because they would be too expensive. So, when people pay their taxes, they already support their country and help other people in some way. Some also think that it is not fair to ask more from them, because they already work hard and give part of their salary to the government.
On the other hand, many people argue that society needs more than just money. They say that humans should help each other not only with taxes but with actions. For instance, people can join volunteer work, help poor families, or spend time with old people who live alone. These small things make life better for others and also make the community more friendly. The government cannot solve every small problem, but people together can make a big difference.
In my opinion, paying taxes is very important, but it should not be the only thing people do. Money helps build schools and hospitals, but kindness and help build trust between people. A good society needs both: financial support and care from its citizens.
