It is supposed that educational institutions should not pressure children to learn other languages. I partially agree with this statement because each child may not have interest in learning different languages in early age and they can have psychological damage in the long term; however, forcing to learn foreign languages makes children be more discipline.
The main reason why I believed that some children are not curious in learning other languages in early ages. This is because they are not able to percieve the importance of learning languages and they focus on other things, such as playing game and watching cartoons. In addition to this, if a few juveniles learn a new language but they can not speak, they start to think that this process is boring. As a consequence, children are going to avoid to learn any languages in the future.
Another reason why I support this notion is that forcing to learn foreign languages are caused some cognitive harms, such as phobias in long period. This is due to when children encounter a pressure in terms of learning a language then they will begin to believe as if they were able to do nothing. As well as this, it leads to lower motivation and lack of confidence. As a result, even if kids have a talented brain which has a good learning skill, they can not utilize it because of pressuring by schools someday.
On the other hand, to force children to learn another languages plays the main role in order to develop the discipline skill. This is because when they are encoureged, they approach everything regularry. In addition, it is necesarry to say that many companies require to know a least two languages. By this I mean, if schools force them to learn new languages, children will not suffer from that. As a result, they not only improve their discipline but also get significant skills for their future careers.
In conclusion, I partially agree that if schools force children to learn new languages, they may have some mental issues and their interests may be different in early ages; however, to force them enables to increase their discipline skills later on.
