The line graph illustrates how many questions that the Tourist Information Office were sent via three means of communication in a metropolitan over six-month period in 2021.
Overall, the figure of inquiries in person and by telephone witnessed an upward trend, while asking through letter or email was less popular.
As can be seen the number of inquiries made in person dramatically escalated. In the beginning period, fewer people asked directly. It was the lowest figure (at around 410). Over the next month, in-person visits increased significantly to 600 and then reached a peak of 1900 in June. After that, the number of questions received by calling, at first, stood at 900 in January. Until April, there was a gradual growth to 1,000 in the telephone calls before it soared to 1,600 in two following months.
In constact, questions that costumers making a letter/email consistently plunged. The letter/email recorded a figure of 790 in January, which was slightly higher than the figure in person. However, starting from March,the former decreased to 700 whereas the latter exceed to 800 – around 1000 more than that for email and postal inquiries. From March to June, there was another fall to less than 400 in questions written in email or letter. It end up becoming the lowest figure in the chart throughout the period.
