The diagram demonstrates the different phases of development in life cycle of the salmon.
Overall, the life cycle is contains around 7 stages of development. It initiates with the forming eggs formation of eggs in fresh water and ends with spawning adults death.
To begin with, in the fresh water the eggs are there and hatch in about 3 months. after that eggs converts in to the alevin and it is feed on yolk sac for several weeks. In the following stage of fry it can able for swimming and 5 to 10 weeks old. Moreover, in the next phase after several months old it develops finger markings on body and this phenomena is called parr stage.
Once “finger markings” gets developed it transform into smolt and it’s time execution is about 1 to 3 years. They can easily swim and stay in groups and also head out to sea. In the next 1 to 6 years it spends time at sea and develops into adult Salmon. and after sometime lastly, after the stage of adult is spawning adult and it spawn eggs and die within just 2 weeks. after that.
