The graph below provides the amounts of 8 different car trips driven by men and women in percentages during 2005. It is evident from the chart that throughout the period, work reached its peak at more than 50% of women driving and almost 40% of men driving, while visiting town by women drivers was at its lowest with less than 3% throughout the period.
The car trips for running errands driven by females, compared to recreation, were triple at the level of 10%. Shopping trips were twice as high as visiting friends, which were approximately 16% of women driving and slightly more than 3% higher than courses trips. However, car trips driven to the bank and for running errands had equal numbers at about 4%, which is halved than the courses and visiting town
The numbers of women driving were mostly for work, followed by shopping, courses, and 5 others at less than 10%, where three of them stayed at the same level between 8% and 10%. Otherwise, visiting town and recreation were far lower than other trips, probably no more than 5% throughout the period.
