Modern life has brought both opportunities and complex problems that require careful consideration. Some individuals believe, that there should be a fixed age for retirement irrespective of the profession, which is unfair in most scenarios. I strongly agree with this viewpoint, because not all human beings have similar capabilities. Supporting some weaker adults, they should receive pension as per their own decided age.
Firstly, people have a different lifestyle that cannot be compared with each other in any given way and the government should let them cope with the working environment at their own pace. Putting a restriction like this can confine them in an illusionary box, compromising their abilities to work for a longer period of time. Every nation requires experienced professionals from various sectors to proficiently contribute to the growth of its Gross Domestic Product, boosting the economy. For instance, aged scientists who found the vaccines for COVID 19, which might have not been possible by the younger generation, as explained by publication in Time’s magazine.
Secondly, adults who work hard with their full capacity at an earlier phase of their life may not be able to work after a certain age. Pushing them to work more, surpassing their capacity can lead to numerous mental disorders and physical impairment. Consequently, leading them to point in life where their everyday routine is surrounded by medication and proper health restrictions, lowering the average life expactancy in many countries. Therefore, getting pension benefits at a chosen age in life is crucial, which improves living standards and helps them stay motivated. Construction workers who deal with heavy loaded objects, which reduces bone density at an early age, should be give benefits from early retirement.
In conclusion, senior citizens are proven to be a golden gem for the society, keeping the required experience intact for the upcoming generations. Allowing them to decide their retirement age, benefits themselves to stay on board with the community.
