Overall, the number of car users are dominating in the market, while the number of people travelling by train increased steadily. The bus users on the other hand had a dramatic fall overtime.
In 2000, the number of cars for travelling on average was 7 million’s, which decreased by 6 million after a decade. The commuters after 2010 took a sharp turn and reached to its peak around 9.3 million in average number of people which is the highest travelling history among others.
Citizens travelling by trains was increasing steadily from 1980 to 2010 with an amount to 5 to 4.9 million on average by following an upward trend of 7 million individuals by 2040. Furthermore, Bus’s were quite popular during 1980 with 4 million American’s, that later kept decreasing over the timeline and pause to 2 million by 2040.
