The line graph presents the data on cinema attendance in the United Kingdom in four age groups between 1990 to 2010.
Overall, we can observe that the four age groups had an increased of attendence from 1990 to 2010, despite a slight decline between 1995-2000. People aged 44-54 maintained the highest attending record, while the 14-24 age group had the lowest rates through all the the period of time.
In 1995, aproximately 40% individuals aged 44-54 went to the cinema, compared to 35% of those who are aged 34-44. Attendance among individuals who are aged 24-34 has a much lower rate of 28%, while the youngest audience aged 14-24 has a percentage of attendence of 18%. By 1995, all groups reflected a growth on attendece since 1990.
However in 2000 there was a noticable decline in attendence among all age groups. For example, people aged 24-35 reflected a drop of around 15%, and attendence among 34-44 fell to just over 34%. After this point, attedence reflected an incline in all categories. By 2005, the attendence percentage had recovered significantly, and by 2010 all age groups reached their highest level of attendence.
In conclusion, although cinema suffered a decline, it showed an overall upward trend among all age groups, with adults between ages of 44-54 being the highest cinema goers.
