Band 4: the charts below show the proportion of holidaymakers using four different types of accomodation in three different years (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The above chart illustrates the holidaymarkers which is divided into four different types of accomodation which are Staying with family, Rented apartment, Camping and Hotels. In three different years; 1988,1998 and 2008.

Overall, the number of Staying with family has the largest share while Rental Apartment has the smallest share among other accomodation in all three years.

By looking at the chart, it shows that in the year 1988, Staying with family(52) has largest share followed by Hotel(26) and Camping(15) and Rental Apartment(7) having the smallest share. Morever, in the year 1998, Staying with family (54) has incresed by 2% and has the largest share followed by Hotel (22) and Camping(13) and Rental Apartment (11) still having the smallest share.

Furthermore, in the year 2008, Satying with family(44) has decreased upto 10% despite it still has the largest share compare to other accomodation. Followed by both Hotel(22) and Rental Apartment (22) having same percentage rate. It is seen that the percentage rate Rental Apartment has increased drastically in past 10 years. Likewise the rate of Camping has decreased (13) compared to other years.
