The image above illustrates the transformation process the Beachfront area has gone through since 1950. Overall, the beach has been developed with expanding infrastructure being more modernized, the layout has also seen a shift toward more commercial and recreational amenities.
In the upper sections, the area has experienced a shift in terms of accessibility. For instance, the original car park from the 1950 has been expanded into two separate areas located on either side of the pavilion. While the pavilion has been retained to serve as a landmark, the surrounding space has been modified to accommodate the new facilities. This development demonstrates an effort in preserving a degree of the 1950 character while increasing the capacity of the tourists.
In the southern part of the area, significant changes have occurred near the beach. A new restaurant and surf club has been added on the eastern extremity. Furthermore, the swimming facilities have been upgraded, but the western pool has been enlarged to a 50m pool. Finally, the main road now curves around the lighthouse, providing a smoother connection between the different coastal attractions
