I extremely disagree with this opinion because I believe that if the current world that we already live in is broken because of us, why should we trust ourselves as human beings that we can live on other planet without harming the new planet?.
Personally for me, its better for us as humans to start a full recleaning process where we start improving our way of living towards a more environmentally friendly. that way, we will eventually be able to survive. Furthermore, it has always been the humans who keeps our world unlivable. If we took a look at the history of the world, we are only being exposed to the environmental dangers because of our own wrongdoings. It was never a natural cause, be it global warming, diseases like HIV or even carbon emissions it was all the humans fault. So, if we were to embark on a journey to a new planet would it be possible to not keep doing what we are doing at our own planet?.
Not just that, if we were to find another planet, it will burden the earth so much that we could ever imagine. For example, in economic perspective, it will cost so much not only to find a planet, but also to bring the 7 billion humans to a new planet. On top of that, the economy would undergo a major breakdown because of the needed funds
For conclusion, i disagree with this opinion because we need to fix ourselves before running away and leaving our beloved planet. Also, the economic sector cannot stand the funds that are going to be allocated for the space venture.
