Potatoes is one of the biggest foods that people are eating around the world, and since the discovery of this vegetable people are growing this food element for many years and providing wide areas of their land farms to this crops.The table above is showing some data about the potatoes production and consuming as well around the world.

The highest continents that productes potatoes is Asia and Europe which they are producted 131.2 and 126.3 million tonnes respectively during the year 2006 Although Asia do not consumed much of this food which only their average use is 25.8 kg by person whike Europe average consuming us 96.1 kg by person to be the hisghst contentent use of this vegetable.

North American, Africa and South and central America are less production of potatoes which they producted 24.7,16.4 and 15.6 million tonnes respectively during the same year, but when we look at their consumption we can see that North America are coming in the second place in the world for its potatoes consumption which consumed 57.9 kg for every individual when Africa is the lowest contentent consuming of potatoes which it used only 14.1 kg as an average consumption rate.
