Nowadays, an increasing number of people spend most of their time at work. There are plenty of factors which can lead to such a situation, as a lot of companies have certain severe requirements for each position. Moreover, if you want to earn more money, you need to be done working longer. In my onest opinion, it has a negative impact on our society, because it causes many catastrophic consequences.
Today, most employers want to give a job to those who are diligent and hard-working. Moreover, they usually do not pay for the amount of work we completed but for the amount of hours we worked. Recently, I have read a research in which was indicated that most people who choose full-time jobs and do not appear at home till the late evening do it only because they need more money for better living, whereas those who work part-time jobs cannot afford themselves appropriate living conditions.
At the same time, this development has a bad effect on our community. The biggest disadvantage is, undoubtedly, lack of time needed to be allocated to our children. As most individuals work long hours, they do not have a chance just to have a short conversation with them or discuss their problems. For instance, my friend’s mum always spent all her day at work and do not pay attention to her child, while she has big problems with alcohol addiction. That is why we need to think well before going to such a type of work.
In conclusion, I would like to say that a long-hour job does not require only diligent approach and hard-working personality but also plenty of our time. Therefore, it is crucial to think before applying to such jobs in order to avoid problems with your children who will be struggling at that moment.
