Dear Sir,

Unfortunately, I’m unable to attend a local community event today because of unforeseen circumstances. I have really high temperature and sore throat… I feel really embarassed about it and I deeply regret because I really understand how much you need my help. I would like to offer alternative assistence. Please, if there is an opportunity, write and offer me some work that I can do remotely like planning or other things that I’m able to do at home. I really appreciate the opportunity to volunteer, and I will help you in different ways I can and support the community, despite my absence on the day.
