At the modern age learning languages plays significant role in society. While some people claim that pupils should study them as soon as they start school, others believe that start learning in secondary school is better. This essay will discuss both these points of view and argue in favour of the former.

On the one hand, studying languages in secondary school is more convenient for students , so there would not be too much pressure on them.What I want to mention is that they need to focus and prioritize on major sublects in primary school. To illustrate, teenagers can learn grammar topics and sentence structure easily because they already have strong analytical skills. As a result, studying is extremely efficient and and students take it seriously.

On the other hand, others claim that it is beneficial to study from the time when students start school. I mainly agree with this statement because children brain is flexible and they can learn language faster. Moreover, it will be easier for them to adapt to the foreign language, accent and perceive it. For example, a lot of European countries start learning languages in primary school. Therefore, they speak naturally when they grow up.

To conclude, both views have their advantages. However, I believe that children should start learning a foreign language when they begin school because they can be more confident speakers in the future.
