Overall, it is immediately evident that all through the period, more electric cars were purchased in the USA compared to Japan and Germany. However, there was a progressive rise in the demand for electric cars in Germany and Japan.
To begin, in 2018,120 electric powered cars were sold in the US while 100 was sold in Japan. Germany recorded the least sales that year. In the following year,sales in the US increased by 30 while that of Japan and Germany rose by 10 only.
USA consistently topped the market list all through the period. However, in 2021 the demand for electric vehicles in Germany and Japan took a different turn. Germany became second best seller as they sold out 130 cars while Japan marketed only 120. This remained the trend in the subsequent years.
