Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the number of visitors increased, with the except for a Hong Kong. France receives the highest number of visitors over the period, while the inverse is true for Hong Kong. Other countries remained similarly.
By 2009, France and the US received the highest number of visitors at 76 and 66 million, while the inverse is true for Germany and Hong Kong at 11 and 10 million. Spain and the UK received the same proportion of visitors at 55 million, while Italy, Turkey, and China ranked similarly at 44, 33, and 22 million.
In 2010, again, France and the US ranked the highest score with a slight increase at 76 and 67 million, while the reverse is true for Germany, China, and Hong Kong at 23, 34, and 9 million. Italy and Turkey received the same number of visitors at 45 million, followed by Spain and the UK ranked similarly at 56 and 57 million.
When it comes to their change in two years, receiving the number of visitors increased significantly in all countries, except for Hong Kong at 11 % decrease. Germany, Turkey, and China represented the highest growth with 109%, 33%, and 55%, and only France remained unchanged. The US, Spain, and the UK faced slight increase at 1.5%, 1.8%, and 3.6%.
