In the contemporary world, technology has changed people lifestyle dramatically. It is often argue by some people that, technology has made people less socially active, while others oppose there believe, and claim that it has improved social interaction. In this essay, I will examine both points of view before presenting my own opinion.
To begin with, one of the primary reasons why some people believe that it has made people less socially active is because, according to them, due to widespread of social media people have lot of screen time which affects there social interaction. For instance, a person seats in a gathering and keeps phubbing others. So, this is how technology has made people less socially active.
Conversely, others claim that technology has strengthen social interaction. One of the significant reasons behind that is technology has provided numerous ways of interaction such as different social media plateforms. For example, individuals can easily interact with any person in the world irrespective of geographical boundaries. So, it is a clear justification that how technology has improvised social interation.
In my standpoint, technology cultivates different modes of interation and to spread any information or message throughout the world which was quite difficult in the past and took huge time span for it. For instance, if a person has a public speaking fear and wants to spreads an important message, however his speaking is quite good infront of camera. So, in this way he can easily spreads his message and can interact with others. Therefore, it is stated that technology has improved social inetraction.
To sum up, everyone has different percepective, and everything has some pros and cons, but overall technology has improvised social interaction.
