The two table charts provide information about the ratio of fairtradelabelled coffee and bananas in 1999 and 2004 in five European countries.
Overall, the quantity of both coffee and bananas of the European fairtrade status were increased, especially Uk their coffee fairtrade grew considerably, while Switzerland their bananas fairtrade price jumped up significantly.
According to what is observed in the two table charts, in 1999, Belgium and Sweden had the lowest number of coffees fairtrade price, the former reached 0,8 million and the latter had only 1, while in the same period Switzerland had the highest proportion of coffee fairtrade price, it was 3 million among other countries. In 2004, Uk and Switzerland fairtrade price went up considerably, while others went dramatically. In that period, the Sweden and Denmark bananas fairtrade price were almost the same, also they went down almost to the double. The price of fairtrade-labelled in Switzerland doubled significantly between 1999 and 2004, rising from 3 million to 6 million, which mean that there wasnoticeable growth in consumer demand.
