The bar chart gives information about the percentage of government expenditure on the reconstraction of roads and vehicles in four different countries from 1990 to 2005.
Overall, the spendings on roads and transport declined in Italy, Portugal, and the UK throughout the period, while the expenditure in the USA almost remained the stable. Notably, Portugal was the country which invested the most amount of money on transportation infrastructure.
As for countries which investment declined, in Italy, there was a steadity decline from 20% in 1990 to around 11% in 2000, which was followed by a rise of 2% by 2005. Portugal did the most spendings on transport networt during the period. Starting at around 27% it deacreased to 16% during the entire period. The UK, spent approximately 11% in 1990, which was rise by 3%. After which the figure halved from 14%, which was followed by a slow increase.
Turning to the USA, which public spendings almost remained the same level. There was a slight drop from 13% at the beginning of the period to 12% in 1995, which was followed by a slow increase to around 15%, then it remained the same level to 12%, by the end of the period.
