The diagrams illustrate the changes in the layout of a particular building through three different periods, starting from 1958 to the present day.
Overall, the building underwent a significant renovation, transforming from a commercial office into an apartment, and finally a flower shop. While the kitchen has remained unchanged throughout the period, other internal spaces have been completely repurposed according to their functions.
In the first period (1958-1984), the premises were used as an office with many small functional rooms. On the left-hand side, the meeting and assistant’s offices were subsequently merged and transformed into a large living room and a bathroom between 1985 and 2000. On the opposite side, the manager’s office and reception area were replaced by a pair of bedrooms. The main entrance remained at the bottom of the map.
From 2001 onwards, the building has continued to change to become a flower shop. The former living room now serves as an area for displaying flowers and gifts. The bathroom has been repurposed as a play area. Notably, the first bedroom was converted into a small office, while the second one was demolished to make way for flower displays. The kitchen was the only area that has remained intact since 1958.
