There is a widespread outlook that large companies should allocate investments to provide sport and social facilities for the advantage of local individuals. I totally agree with this view for two reasons.
Establishing new sports centres in local areas can improve local residents’ well-being. By building pedestrian areas, soccer pitches, cycling paths, and amenities for exercising, it definitely helps people to lead an active lifestyle. In doing so, large companies are able to encourage communities to engage in physical activities such as soccer, basketball, and volleyball. Consequently, residents can escape from stress or depression, which caused by sedentary lifestyle. In the USA, for instance, the Apple company allocates more funds for the benefit of people by constructing such facilities in the area of head offices, so that not only the local individuals’ lifestyle improves but also their own personnel can take advantage by participating in physical activities.
Moreover, corporations can also gain support or promote loyalty by investing in such facilities. By doing that, they usually elevate their brand’s reputation through such goodwill initiatives. Consider young people who grew up and achieved their goals by using these companies’ built amenities. This creates a intense long-lasting relationship with their customers, which means in the future the customers are more likely to carry the brand logos with high pride.
To conclude, I can confidently say that such convenient initiatives can result in high achievements as well as strong bonds between people and organisations.
