Nowadays, its becoming more of a challenge to keep students concentrated in school. One underlying reason for this is that, classes are not intriguing and this issue could be addressed by making lessons more engaging.
A key driving factor of students struggling to concentrate is because lessons are not interesting to them. This means that they constantly keep themselves occupied with anything except studying. For instance, many teenagers frequently play games on phone during the classes as for them playing games are much more enjoyable than studying. As a result learning process not only will be boring but also stressful for teachers. Similarly, the way they are upbringing also plays significant role. When their parents are neglected to their child and fail to supervise their studies, children tend to become academically weaker.
Addressing this issue would require improvements in the methods of teaching. Teachers should make classes more interactive by providing special games related to lesson. For example they could play small competition and winners could get little rewards like sweets or stickers. This would not only keep students engaged but also would enhance their passion for learning. Consequently, it would be beneficial for both students and teachers as lessons would run more smoothly without unnecessary stress or anxiety, and student would learn more effectively. In addition, parent should monitor their children’s academic progress and encourage good study habits as guidance from both parents and teachers would improve students’ discipline.
In conclusion, students often lose focus because lessons are uninteresting and parents fail to monitor their studies.Hence both teachers and parents should cooperate to improve students academic progress.
