It is sometimes argued that the aim of university education is to assist graduates get better jobs, while others believe there are a variety of benefits of university education for both individuals and society. I disagree with the former, despite acknowledging its merits.

On the one hand, the idea that the aim of university education is to help recent graduates get a lucrative income is reasonable. First and foremost, the degree is needed to apply for some high-quality jobs, such as doctors, engineers or chemists. The reason is that these jobs need a degree as a key to ensure employees’ quality to pay a stable and high salary. Secondly, studying education can develop a variety of essential skills, such as communication and problem-solving skills. These skills may allow workers to have an opportunity for a high worker conditions.

On the other hand, the opinion that university education has a lot of benefits for both personal and society. Initially, on the individual level, college education can enhance personal intellectual development. The reason is that people can study more hard and specialised knowledge. As a result, people can contribute their knowledge to develop national prosperity. Secondly, a university education can enable learners to have more relationships. The reason is due to the fact that schoolers may have to do some team assignments, so they may have more chances to develop and nurture their relationships. As a result, it can allow people to have solidarity, which may allow society to develop and become wealthier.

In conclusion, while the first opinion has some beneficial aspects, I hold a firm belief that colleges provide more benefits for both the individual and societal level.
