I strongly disagree with this statement because environmental damage can be reduced through effective policies and modern technologies. This essay will discuss how regulations and advanced technologies can help countries grow without harming the environment.
Initially, the government can implement various strict regulations which will significantly reduce the amount of pollutant emissions. As economies improve, industries and factories often produce substantial amount of waste and greenhouse gas emissions, causing serious environmental damage. However, authorities can enforce regulations and require companies to follow laws and standards in order to decrease the number of negative impacts on ecosystem. For example, nearly every developed country control and limit a volume of produced emissions from industries which successfully lowered pollution to the ecosystem.
Additionally, modern technologies allow countries easily achieve economic growth without contamination and negative consequences. Innovations such as renewable energy sources can considerably reduce carbon footprint and dependence on fossil fuels, which cause substantial ecological damage. Moreover, the shortage of resources can be resolved through the renewable and eco-friendly energy sources. For instance, a rapidly economically developed country such as China has faced with a toxic air pollution which is being tackled through technologies producing and using green energy, for example, solar panels, wind turbines and electrical cars.
In conclusion, while the public believes that economic progress is accompanied by unavoidable environmental problems, I am inclined to believe that this kind of issue can be addressed through standart implementations and cutting-edge technologies.
