There is an ongoing debate about whether university students should only take educational courses that are related to their major, while others argue that they should study additional subjects that are not related to their chosen field. From my perspective I personally believe that taking additional subjects can be beneficial for the students for several reasons. This essay will discuss both views and my personal opinion.
One of the main reasons that people prefer to only study main subjects that are related to their major is that they believe that taking other subjects will waste their time. furthermore, they want to devote all their time and attention to get more experience in their field. For example, a person who study education of early childhood to be specific, would only like to take subjects that discuss about how children learn and grow. As a result, a person who only study subjects that are related to their field gain more knowledge about their field rather than a person who study additional subjects.
Although many people believe that students must only study subjects related to their major, every cloud has a silver lining, which means There is something positive in every difficult situation. To take additional cources that are not related to your major means an indiviual gets to expand their knowledge by getting exsposed to a veriaty of topics that his field dose not offer. In other words a person will get the chance to learn about different areas of information. For intance lets take a person who study Accounting, in addtion he takes extra cources that may discuss environment, therefore he will learns more about the environment with his main major subjects.
In conclusion, while both of the view have merit, From my point of view I believe that taking additional subjects can be benifcial for the reason I mentioned above.
